1. The Thief

This song is one of my faster songs at 147 BPM. A number of guitar sounds were used throughout which makes it quite different from my other songs.

2. And I Know

I like the tune in this song. This song however was one of the songs that did not receive enough time while I was trying to get my CD done. I like the lyrics but I am not fond of my singing on the album. A lesson learned - Never rush a song. At some point I should revisit this song and rework it to something I can be proud of. For now I consider this song an unfortunate rush job.

3. Find You

The lyrics for this song were written over the phone with Becca Reed. It was an interesting idea at the time but through the rush of making my CD the lyrics were just too wordy for the music and I never took any time to fix it. Chalk this up to another unfortunate rush job and you get what it is. I should try and write some new music for the lyrics, something that fits the words. But until then this is what remains.

As for Becca Reed, we lost contact with each other before I had the CD pressed so she's probably never heard this song.

The lyrics for this song are about being opposed when trying to reach a goal.

7. Illusions

Probably my most personal song on this album. Every song I wrote the music and then added lyrics after, this song was the exception to that. While writing the music for this song I also wrote the lyrics and I believe the end result was a better quality song.

A dark song compared to the other songs on the album.

9. Ancient Storms

I think I spent more time working on the drums and percussion for this song than anything else. I use a total of 3 percussion instruments and 2 drums throughout the song and am happy with the way they sounded together.

10. Paranormal Activity

A song that I wrote inspired by The X-Files. The song itself doesn't really have an X-Files theme to it, but at the time it was a song with a sort of weird style to it. In the later part of the song is a glass shattering sound that then the song switches to a slightly different style.
